As demand for data professionals continues to grow, Tulsa Community College is introducing Oklahoma's first Associate of Science degree in Data Analytics, with enrollment now open for the fall semester.
The new associate degree, along with a Data Analytics certificate program, is designed to prepare students for careers that rely on collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support business and organizational decision-making. Students will develop skills in data analysis, data visualization, statistical methods, and the software tools commonly used across industries including healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, education, technology, and business.
Both programs are offered entirely online, making them accessible to working professionals and students seeking a flexible schedule. Coursework includes hands-on learning through real-world case studies developed by practicing data analysts, helping students gain practical experience before entering the workforce.
The associate degree also provides a continuation pathway for students who complete the Data Analytics certificate through the TCC Skills Lab, allowing them to expand their education and career opportunities.
The launch of the programs supports regional workforce development efforts through the Tulsa Regional Advanced Mobility (TRAM) initiative, which aims to strengthen northeast Oklahoma's talent pipeline in advanced technology fields. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of data scientists is projected to grow 34 percent between 2024 and 2034, making data analytics one of the nation's fastest-growing career fields.
Enrollment for both the Data Analytics Associate of Science degree and certificate program is available now through Tulsa Community College.
